I did notice many (most?) of the participating schools were private preparatory schools. Is it the nature of these schools to be more involved in such projects or are there constraints on public (NCLB) schools that inhibit this kind of participation?

I attended the Wikionomics session today with Dr. Yvonne Marie Andres and Lucie DeLaBreure where they talked about some of these things. Lucie made the statement during this session that kids see social networking as separate from critical thinking. How can we change that?
